About The Teachers Table

The Teachers Table is a revolutionary platform built by educators and researchers with one clear mission: to close the gap between academic research and everyday classroom instruction. We understand that teachers are inundated with information—some helpful, some outdated, and often hard to apply. That’s why we created a smarter, simpler way to bring research-based practices directly to teachers in a way that actually fits their day-to-day realities.

At the heart of our platform is Content Correlation—a powerful engine that connects the dots between trending educational videos, podcasts, resources, and more - and peer-reviewed academic studies in literacy. We aggregate content from trusted influencers, pair it with vetted research, and deliver it all in teacher-friendly formats you can search, save, and share.

Whether you’re a new teacher, a literacy coach, or a district leader, The Teachers Table offers curated strategies, simplified research, and a growing professional community ready to collaborate. Our topic-based “Community Tables” make it easy to learn with and from like-minded educators across the world.

Use it solo or bring your whole team. Customize your experience or set district-wide initiatives. Either way, you’re always backed by timely, trusted, and actionable insights—because good teaching deserves great support.

How It All Began

The friendship between Lori and Elise started on a podcast. It grew through shared learning experiences at conferences and a conversation began about how teachers deserve to know the research but shouldn’t have to spend all of their free time reading it.

Lori and Elise were both teachers, understanding the challenges faced by educators trying to shift the trajectory for all kids as it pertains to literacy. As advocates, moms, authors, and former teachers, both women knew a solution was needed to support teachers in learning, in practice, and with community.

What began as an idea two years ago is now a mission to find and produce engaging and continuous ways to grow together as colleagues in the field of education.
